Description :
This dam located at 21km west of Tabas city near Niaz village, over Nahrain river. Main purposes of the project are seasonal flood protection, supplying irrigation and potable water to Tabas area

-Height of dam: 48 m from river bed and 60 m from foundation
-Length of crest: 310 m
-Excavation works: 1,200,000 m3
-Earth works for core: 210,000 m3 and for cortex: 1,000,000 m3
-Concrete works: 28,200 m3
- Diversion system consists of earth filled coffer dam (as a part of dam body) and diversion gallery
-Diversion gallery with horseshoe section: 400 m long
-Concrete works: 15,000 m3
- Lateral Spillway with ogee shape
-Excavation works: 500,000 m3
-Concrete works: 22,000 m3
- Grouting for water tight curtain: 28,000 m
